The magic in opportunity

Content gets hard sometimes. And when it does, I want you to watch this video.

Because even though this idea sounds deceptively simple, it’s a simple-on-purpose mindset shift that can really help you get reinvigorated + inspired…

You don’t have to write. You GET to write.

Copywriter Laura Belgray shared that awesome reframe on Instagram a while back, and I’d like to expand it a little bit to:

You don’t have to create content. You GET to create content.

(Hang with me for a sec - I know it sounds simple.)

Here’s the thing - content becomes boring + hard when you lose sight of the whole point of its existence.

So take a break if you need it. Take a breather.

And then keep moving forward.

You don’t have to create conent. You get to create content.

While it sounds deceptively simple, this little mindset shift can really help you with the flow of content ideas. Because it reminds you of the awesome opportunity that you have to make things and put them out into the world.

Content is simply an avenue to share what you know with others.

And in case you need the reminder, I’ll leave you with this thought:

If you find yourself asking yourself (and your friends), “Am I really a writer? Am I really an artist?” chances are you are. The counterfeit innovator is wildly self-confident. The real one is scared to death.
